The world natural resources are consumed at an ever-increased rate. What are the dangers of this situation? What should we do?
According to the recent researches, world’s natural resources like gas and oil are estimated to be fully consumed till 2550, to be found no more. Due to the pollution, we have lost so many resources of clean water, and with deforestation the air is becoming thinner and thinner. Irrefutably, a great increase of human race resulted in exploitation of natural resources at significant rate from year to year. This situation puts our lives in a great danger; however we still have time to make relevant steps to prevent it.
The pollution and overuse of resources has brought us face-to-face with two main problems; destruction of ecosystem, and poverty and starvation. First and foremost, on account of deforestation, air and water pollution, many species of animals are on the verge of extinction. Food chain is already broken. Air pollution, in turn, is also causing biosphere to lose its habitants, nevertheless harming people’s health and life situation. Acid rains are threatening lives in Northern Eastern US, Eastern Europe, China and India. Moreover, underground resources are being exploited by big companies instead of renewable solar energy and wind power, in order to claim more financial benefit and overpower their rivals, which leads the countries into wars.
Secondly, on account of overconsumption of resources, it is not hard to predict the future view of our world in less than a thousand years. With the goods produced of the pure resources becoming more and more expensive day by day, inequality and the abyss between classes will be widened. This will lead the world into starvation and poverty, without resources, any treatment for diseases will become unavailable.
To prevent our world from those dangers, we should consider taking actions both as individuals and governments. As individuals, we can take simple steps like using biodegradable and environmentally friendly products instead of those made of plastic, not throwing rubbish into seas or nature, decrease usage of fossil fuels, if possible, donating or taking part in environmental activity and projects. What we should expect from governments is them to replace the energy used natural resources like gas and oil with renewable energy. Given to the fact that after the Paris Climate Accord the global warming had decreased 2 degree Celsius. Three countries: India-for usage of solar energy; Norway-for reducing carbon dioxide gas, and UK for declining greenhouse gas emissions were the on the lead of this action. As individuals, we expect government and companies to follow these examples, and moreover we do expect them to sign agreements on banning chemical weapons, which are the greatest threat to the ecosystem and environment.
In conclusion, if the correct and straightforward steps are not taken by government and individuals, the outcomes can lead future generation into disastrous destinations. As an individual I believe first steps should be taken by governments In management, which would attract individuals to take actions.
